Amul Ice Creams are made by Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), Indias largest dairy brand. Launched in 1996, Amul became Indias first brand to use only pure milk and real cream, making it a true real milk ice cream unlike many frozen desserts. Amul Ice Creams are known for their rich taste, creamy texture, and purity.

Amul Cooperative Model in India

Amul operates under the Anand Milk Union Limited (Amul) model, which is a three-tier cooperative structure:

Village Dairy Cooperative Societies (VDCS)

Farmers pour milk here daily and become members.

These collect milk from VDCS, process it into products like ice cream, butter, cheese, milk powder.

It State Federation (GCMMF)

markets products under the Amul brand across India and globally.
